Broadleaf P4

Sweet Chestnut dipped in Broadleaf P4

Close-up shows polymer dipped roots of young Sweet Chestnut. Water laden gel particles enable out-of soil survival of fully-leaved plant for more than eight days.

\Sweet Chestnut (Castanea Savita) removed from the compost. The roots of the right hand plant have been dipped in a slurry of Broadleaf P4 (100 grams/15 liters of water).

This photograph, taken eight days after dipping, shows the polymer has provided enough water to keep the leaves fresh after eight days, whereas the control, not surprisingly wilted within hours.
